It’s a long video, but I laughed through the whole thing. I suspect my husband wouldn’t be stupid enough to sign up for this experiment.

very cute- BUT they didn't even talk about transition and pushing…
That was hilarious! BUT… I don't think it was a fair comparison. I think real labor is probably easier than what he tried. 🙂 Still, it IS exhausting, and then we STILL have to push!
Another incomparable part is having 20 to 30 extra pounds awkwardly placed at your lower abdomen, and all the aches and pains associated thereof, especially after months of discomfort. Had he done that with a bowling ball strapped on as well, that would have been good.
I agree, though, Jennie, that labor is probably easier given that we have a tremendous reward at the end. Plus, an average 1st time labor might be 12 hours, but it's not usually 6 or 7 hours or more of 60 sec contractions 2 min apart. And pushing, yeah, after all that…
In a couple of weeks, I'm going to remember this video. Maybe I'll bookmark it and have my husband watch it while I'm laboring. 😉
I think it has more to do with the muscles involved. The uterus is an entirely different muscle than the abdominals, you know? Not sure I could manage labor, either, if I had to use my belly muscles that much!
Oh my goodness!! I have already shared that with many people!!
