Let me just add that we once got colored grains of rice in an art kit. I was cleaning up that rice for weeks and finding it in the lint trap of the dryer for ages too! But the girls sure enjoyed it.
Go for the beads! Hours of endless quite as they painstakingly place them one by one in those tiny holders. I”m assuming you’re talking about those wax beads that you have to iron to mush them into a shape. We have a box of 50,000 albeit they are put away on a very high shelf under lock and key only for use when I have a flood of patience for cleaning them up. They will be everywhere yes, but no more so than the little legos. On the other hand, if you mean regular beads that would need to say, create a necklace that is sure to break at any inopportune moment – then NO – I would have to veto those! – Lena
