Britain Adopts Islamic Law, Gives Sharia Courts Full Power to Rule on Civil Cases
This is seriously scary stuff. What do they do if one party doesn’t want to use the sharia court system? What do they do when the sharia courts begin to expand their jurisdiction?
What are we going to do when our Supreme Court Justices jump on the bandwagon?
Well, if that isn’t scary! It makes one wonder how we can stop the Islamic tide from flowing.
I demand a Catholic judge! (How would <>that<> go over?)
I’m with Barbara. I demand that any civil case to which I am a party be determined by canon law and a Catholic tribunal!>>No, not really. But wow – I seriously hope that isn’t allowed to stand. If I wanted to be liable under Sharia law, I’d go live in Iran or Saudi Arabia…
Hi, just dropping you a line to tell you you that I was/am impressed with your compassionate and congruent comments on Regina’s blog in regards to abortion. Thanks. I will definately be bookmarking your blog. >Tj
This is scary! The trend to try and cuddle up to our foes in order in hopes they’ll find us worthy of their respect is not a credit to our nation. This sort of thinking is not what comes from leaders, but followers. Since when do we look to Middle Eastern Laws for Justice? Okay, so who do we want making the laws…I thought Americans got to decide for themselves. >Scary, Scary stuff!
I made that same point to Bill, Barb. There’s no way GB would permit a Catholic court, even if they only ruled on, say, divorce. No way. This is the death knell of the Magna Carta…it almost made it 600 years.>>TJ, thank you, and welcome.
