Saturday morning

Three males huddle around the laptop watching women’s sabre fencing. Medal round coming up in moments.

I can live with one TV. But I am so happy we have two computers.

Update: American Women Sabre fencers rock! Tomorrow morning we’ll be watching the Men’s Epee – Bill’s weapon of choice from long ago. Exciting stuff.

  1. Ooh! Where can we watch online? We are sans TV this weekend and it’s killing the kids that they can’t see what’s happening in the Olympics.

  2. nbcolympics.com has a very extensive site for ALL sports, and you can watch online through them.

  3. I’m assuming you know that Becca Ward was a homeschooler?

  4. well the gold and bronze medalists are from Oregon…guess we left our destiny.tug and i were watching going “huh, how can you tell if they score? whats with the lights? why do they all turn and scream? what the?”as you can tell, fencing is far too sophisticated for our football genes. r

  5. I think the screaming is them claiming the hit? The lights…something to do with sensors in the suit that detect the hits? The women’s medal matches were exciting! Ward was omeschool? Way cool!

  6. Thanks Michelle,My kiddos watched Judo and the replay of Michael Phelps winning his first gold plus a little epee action to boot. I almost like this better than tv–no commercials to censor 🙂
