If the vet hands out free coloring books, is it wrong to hide them from the children until the long car ride so that they have something new to look at in the car?

I did the same kind of thing not too long ago. Of course I have forgotten what I “put away” which is a good sign the kids don’t remember it either, right? Surprises for everyone!
