I saw an excerpt from a pro-biofuel site that tried to dismiss food-as-fuel concerns as a red herring. Something about multiple complicated factors, yadda yadda.If it’s so complicated, maybe the biofuelers should try eating some clay cookies. I have a feeling that would simplify the problem immensely.
The thing that really cracks me up is that the people writing into the Houston Chronicle are saying how this corn based ethanol was all Bush’s idea.Yes, he went along with it, but his idea? I think not. I remember several prominent Democrats applauding Bush’s approval of the ethanol plan.How quickly some forget!
Augh…this just makes me so sad. I can’t imagine being a mom and only being able to feed my children mud! This just makes my heart ach for those folks.
